Abstract

"This document provides guidance for awarding institutions involved in the development of qualifications for learning support practitioners. It provides details of the initial generic qualifications that are intended to meet the needs of generalist practitioners. These qualifications will provide accredited professional development opportunities for those currently and newly working in the lifelong learning sector. This document also signposts the proposed approach to developing initial qualifications that will meet the needs of specialist learning support practitioners." - Page 5.
