"This is the companion document to Addressing literacy, language, numeracy and ICT needs in education and training: Defining the minimum core of teachers’ knowledge, understanding and personal skills. The minimum core document details the knowledge, understanding and personal skills in English, Mathematics and ICT that teachers need to undertake their professional role, providing a developmental model on which teachers can build. This document draws on the New overarching professional standards for teachers, tutors and trainers in the lifelong learning sector, and offers practical suggestions and sources of further information and guidance for developing inclusive practice in relation to literacy, language, numeracy and ICT." - Page 2.
