| Additional Information: | This document is aimed at maintained nursery, primary,middle, secondary and special schools, City Technology Colleges (CTCs), academies, free schools, pupil referral units and at Children’s Services/local authorities (LAs) so that relevant staff are able to prepare for and complete the school workforce census for school employed staff in 2016. This document should be used as a handbook for data entered into schools’ Management Information Systems (MIS) and local authority HR or payroll systems throughout the year for school employed staff, rather than just as guidance for the collection itself. This document is published on the department’s website and local authorities may choose to use it as it stands directly with their schools or amended to suit their local needs as appropriate. A similar document has been produced for staff employed by local authorities ("centrally employed staff"). Schools do not need to refer to this second document. |
