Abstract

"This paper sets out the Government’s plans for full employment with social justice across the United Kingdom. The devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland also have a key contribution to make to this, for example in such areas as training, basic skills and child care. In England, policy initiatives in these devolved areas will be delivered by the Department for Education and Employment. The Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish administrations are committed to support the drive for full employment and to delivering a similar range of initiatives for the functions they are responsible for in their geographic areas" - page iv.
