Evaluation of newly qualified social worker and early professional development programmes

CWDC has commissioned a consortium involving the University of Salford, University of Bristol and King's College, London to conduct the evaluation of the newly qualified social worker (NQSW) programme, and the early professional development (EPD) programme.

The work involves a full evaluation of the NQSW and EPD programmes using both quantitative and qualitative methods to look at the way in which participants’ views and experience change throughout the programme. The evaluation includes measures in relation to confidence, job satisfaction and role clarity as well as measures of practical aspects of the programme such as implementation and satisfaction with the programme content.

The work also involves a longitudinal study of social workers who have and who have not been part of the NQSW programme.

Regular interim reports and relevant summary information will be contained on this web page as and when it is available.
