Abstract

This is an ESCalate development project led by Amanda Pill of the University of Gloucestershire and completed in 2008. It looks at the within school factors that appear to be significant in supporting teachers' successful engagement with and completion of postgraduate professional development. - The research looked at four different models of enabling teacher development and found that there are different views of the respective value of CPD and PPD in terms of bringing about worthwhile change in school.
