The ITE programmes reviewed
1. BEd (Primary), PGCE (Primary), and PGCE (Secondary) programmes were reviewed in the:
These programmes amounted to 17 in all. Each institution offered all three programmes but Northern College had separate BEd (Primary) and PGCE (Primary) programmes on both the Aberdeen and the Dundee campuses.
2. The ITE programme at the University of Stirling's Institute of Education was also reviewed. This programme runs concurrently as part of a first degree in a subject.
3. Overall, therefore, 18 programmes were reviewed.
* From December 2001, Northern College merged with the University of Aberdeen and the University of Dundee. There is now ITE provision in both of these HEIs.
